Victoria candidates to discuss the future of public broadcasting

Victoria (November 7, 2012) - Friends of Canadian Broadcasting will host a forum on the future of public broadcasting in Canada for candidates in the Victoria by-election.
Candidates whose parties are represented in the House of Commons have been invited to participate as follows:
- Donald Galloway, Green Party (participation confirmed)
- Dale Gann, Conservative Party
- Murray Rankin, NDP (participation confirmed)
- Paul Summerville, Liberal Party (participation confirmed)
When: Tuesday, November 20th, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: Harbour Towers Hotel, East Harbour Ballroom, 345 Quebec Street
"We welcome the candidates' interest in the future of public broadcasting in Canada and the 3259 families who support Friends of Canadian Broadcasting in Victoria are keen to know where the candidates stand," says Friends spokesperson Ian Morrison.
Friends has also launched a website at www.friends.ca/victoria with an online petition to the candidates called We Vote CBC.
