Kathy Dore, President of Canwest Broadcasting, announced today the new senior organizational structure for the company. This announcement follows last week's CRTC approval of Canwest's acquisition of the broadcasting assets of Alliance Atlantis.

The following Executives will be reporting directly to Ms. Dore:
Andrew Akman, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Chief Administrative Officer, will continue to be responsible for strategic planning, business development and the integration of the Alliance Atlantis and Canwest broadcasting businesses. Mr. Akman will also oversee Human Resources operations and policy, Information Technology, as well as Facilities & Administration at 121 Bloor Street.
Charlotte Bell, Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, will lead and oversee the company's regulatory strategies and implementation, including compliance, policy, all aspects of the licensing process and liaising with appropriate regulatory/government agencies and departments.
Errol Da-Ré, Executive Vice President, Sales will lead the Canwest conventional and specialty television sales teams, including the Marketing Ventures, Strategic Research, Digital Media and Revenue & Inventory Management teams.
Michael French, Chief Financial Officer, will lead the finance team for the combined Broadcasting business. Mr. French will oversee internal and external financial and performance reporting, as well as all budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and support and cash management functions.
Walter Levitt, Chief Marketing Officer, will lead brand strategy, promotion and publicity for the combined Broadcasting business. Mr. Levitt will also oversee content distribution and co-marketing with cable and satellite companies.
David McCauley, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, will have a dual report and will continue to oversee human resources strategy and operations in the Broadcasting Division. Mr. McCauley will report to Kathy Dore on succession planning, talent management, and performance
evaluation, and to Andrew Akman on human resources policy and operations.
Christine McGinley, Senior Vice President, Operations, will oversee the operations of the fifteen Global and E! stations across the country, as well as On-Air, Engineering and Technical services for the combined Broadcasting business.
Barbara Williams, Executive Vice President, Content, will oversee the acquisition, production and scheduling of content for all Canwest Broadcasting conventional networks, specialty channels and digital media platforms.
Steve Wyatt, Senior Vice President, News and Information, will have a dual report and will continue to oversee editorial and operations for all Global and E! news rooms across the country, including Global National. Mr. Wyatt will report to Kathy Dore on editorial policy and technology and to Barbara Williams on content production and distribution.
