For Immediate Release, May 29, 2012, Toronto – ACTRA Toronto extends its warmest congratulations to members Eric Peterson and R.H. Thomson upon their investiture as Members of the Order of Canada.

Named in 2010, both performers were formally awarded the medal in Ottawa on Friday.

“Eric Peterson and R.H. Thomson continue to inspire and delight audiences in Canada and around the world,” said ACTRA Toronto President, Heather Allin, “and all Canadians owe them a debt of thanks for their tireless advocacy on behalf of their fellow performers and Canadian culture.”  

ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing over 15,000 of Canada’s 22,000 professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada.  As an advocate for Canadian culture since 1943, ACTRA is a member-driven organization that continues to secure rights and respect for the work of professional performers.
