Unfortunately my busy travel schedule has not allowed me to complete a video. However, I would like to say that I am a strong supporter of the CBC, and I believe the vital role of the CBC in Canadian public life is particularly important for the federal government to support.

The CBC needs adequate stable funding with a 10-year mandate, so that it can plan for the long-term and not have its programming subject to the yearly whims of federal budgets and shifting political situations.

I support strengthening our federal commitment to the CBC if it can be done in the context of the current fiscal situation.  But the most important thing we can do is give the CBC predictability and stability for the future.
