Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2011-379-2

Aug 2, 2012

Your correspondence dated 12 July 2012, with respect to applications by the CBC to renew its broadcasting licences as per Broadcasting Notice of Consultation 2011-379-2 and the Commission's letter to the CBC dated 18 May 2012.

Dear Mr Morrison:

This is to advise you that the public process relating to the above-noted applications has not yet been re-opened. Unfortunately, the correspondence from Friends of Canadian Broadcasting cannot be considered an official intervention because it was received prior to the re-opening of the public process. This correspondence will therefore not be added to the public record of this proceeding.

Should you wish to file an intervention, please wait for an announcement from the Commission that the intervention period has re-opened. In light of the above, please note that the 16 July 2012 response from the CBC will also not be added to the public record of this proceeding.

Sincerely,

(original signed by Annie Laflamme for)
