CBC President Gets a Passing GradeNov 11, 2004 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ottawa – Robert Rabinovitch has earned a passing grade as President of the CBC, according to the broadcast watchdog Friends of Canadian Broadcasting. Overall, Friends has awarded him a mark of C-, based on a review of Mr. Rabinovitch’s performance over the last five years in a number of areas including CBC funding, regional programming, Canadian content, and CBC Radio. Mr. Rabinovitch’s re-appointment for a second term of 3 years has been proposed by the Prime Minister, who has asked the House of Commons Heritage Committee to review this idea and endorse or reject it.
