The Dalton Camp Awards were created in December 2002 by the Friends of Canadian Broadcasting to honour the memory of the late Toronto Star political commentator.
Winners of an essay competition on how the media influence Canadian democracy win a cash prize of $5,000. The winners were announced yesterday. They are:
Megan Wennberg, a freelance writer, photographer and filmmaker living in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Kurt Peacock, a writer, researcher and historian living in Saint John, New Brunswick.
